CNN —Chelsea FC women’s manager Emma Hayes has been named head coach of the US Women’s National Team, the US Soccer Federation announced on Tuesday. She was named 2021’s Best FIFA Women’s Coach and is a finalist for the 2023 award. The only plus for Vietnam is that not many people are inside the Dunedin Stadium to watch it get thrashed by the Netherlands. CNN —US coach Vlatko Andonovski said it was “insane” for anyone to question the team’s commitment as he responded to criticism from former American international soccer star Carli Lloyd. “Everyone is entitled to opinion and, you know, they can say whatever they want, but I just know how this team feels,” he added. “We know that it’s not good enough … We’re not happy with our performance, but we qualify for the next round. “The performances aren’t where we want them,” experienced forward Megan Rapinoe, who came on as a second-half substitute against Portugal, told reporters.
